Turkey’s largest private bank, İşbank, strongly retains the practice of giving out money boxes to its junior customers, a practice originally launched back in 1929 to increase savings awareness in the society. Now to trigger and inspire its new generation of junior customers to save more, Blesh and İşbank partnered for the digital version, named the Digital Money Box.
Digital Money Box works with Bluetooth and is paired with İşbank’s mobile banking app İşCep. Parents can open up a savings account for their kids on İşbank and transfer money to the account with a hand gesture. Anyone can transfer money to the money box, by simply using the “Find Money Boxes Around” feature on the app.
To inspire kids to save more, the Digital Money Box also enables them to set up a goal and display the amount left to reach the desired amount. Once the goal is completed, the money box congratulates kids and asks for a new goal to be set.
The Digital Money Box will act as a buddy for kids by celebrating their birthdays and sending greetings on New Year’s and on National Children’s Day.
