Blesh has raised $2.5M so far in its on-going Series A funding. The round is being led by TRPE Capital along with existing investors Ali Sabanci, Turgut Gürsoy, Emre Berkin and Kemal Ciliz.
With more than 12,000 beacons already implemented, Blesh is providing the beacon platform of choice for many of Turkey’s top advertisers. Blesh beacons are deployed in leading retail chains, airports, bank branches and ATMs, subway stations, more than 100 malls, cafés and restaurants, office buildings and university campuses.
Blesh is also the first official provider of Physical Web beacons and authorized seller of the Eddystone beacon format, both announced by Google in 2015.
CEO Devrim Sonmez stated that the company will further expand its operations and continue to to lead the market in Turkey with the new funding. Sonmez added that Blesh will partner with more advertisers and mobile platforms targeting a new milestone of 30.000 beacons deployed by the end of 2016. Blesh, according to Sonmez, will continue its partnership with Google and have a more profound global presence in the year ahead.
