Turkey’s leading mobile payment platform, fastPay recently launched its summer campaign offering free icecreams at Kahve Dunyasi (Coffee World) coffee shops using the iBeacon technology via Blesh.
This is not the first time fastPay has used beacons for its offers. Previously, we have partnered with them on the Hands Free Payment project as well as its previous campaign offers including Urban Station and Simit Sarayi.
fastPay was introduced in 2013 by Denizbank, subsidiary of Russia’s state-owned Sberbank. Denizbank also used the iBeacon technology for its 200 branches around Turkey, becoming a global first in offering queue numbers before customers even enter the branch.
Murat Çelik, Digital Generation Banking EVP at Denizbank, recently has said the following on using the beacon technology and their Kahve Dunyasi partnership: “We as Denizbank have put innovation at the core of our services. We are more than happy to introduce the technology to Kahve Dunyasi, one of the leading coffeeshops, and to continue providing such offers to our customers. We will continue to offer more campaigns using the iBeacon technology in the near future”.
