DenizBank, with an innovative approach to the financial sector, now provides customers to get a queue number even before entering the branch using iBeacon technology with Blesh as its business partner.

iBeacon devices, with 50 meters of range and working with Bluetooth technology, provides customers with the option of getting a queue number on their mobile phones denizbankwith any Denizbank App, by turning on their Bluetooth, as a first time application in financial sector, globally.

Customers will be able to use this technology in their iOS or Android running smartphones with Bluetooth 4.0, giving them the opportunity to get a queue number with just a touch on their screens, before even entering the branch. The queue number is delivered to the customer based on their citizen ID numbers, and can be viewed on Passbook on iPhones.
In addition to queue numbers, this technology will also allow Denizbank to share notifications with their customers with rich content and customized opportunities.

Denizbank Digital Age Banking Vice President Murat Çelik stated: “Denizbank has accomplished many global first time projects with its innovative and customer experience oriented approach to financial sector. Cooperating with Blesh as our business partner, we have become the first bank in the World to integrate this technology with the financial sector in this manner. With respect to this, we aim to achieve such accomplishments in Mobile Banking.”

This project is availably initially in 200 Denizbank branches in Istanbul, and soon will be available in 1.000 branches throughout Turkey.
